Introduction to living abroad!
Now, I am starting my blog in English too. Previously, I have been blogging in Swedish for a while. However, since I usually use English with the people I meet in different countries and cities, I will now also be blogging in English.
It all started in the year 2023. At that time, I lived in a Swedish city between Gothenburg and Stockholm with 120,000 inhabitants. For many years, it was the perfect place for me. In terms of my career, I worked with many different things. For instance, I worked as a personal assistant for clients with disabilities.
Besides that, I also gave lectures in the field of mental health. These seminars were based on my book about mental health, which I originally wrote in Swedish back in 2013. Ultimately, I completed and translated the book into English in 2023, and it is now available on Amazon here.
Then, I finally moved abroad!
First, I gave up my apartment and moved to Lisbon, Portugal, in December 2023. Later, in November 2024, I arrived in Greece. Initially, I moved to Rhodes and then moved on to Crete. I have been living in Crete since September 2025. Because of this move, I have finally started my own business in spiritual guidance and coaching while living abroad.
Specifically, I launched this venture in the summer of 2025. Meanwhile, I also work for a company called Teleperformance right now. As a result of this journey, I have met amazing people, made new friends, adopted a cat named Lucy from Crete, and experienced many new things abroad. To be honest, I absolutely love it.
Live life, go with the flow
Life is exciting and fun, so I am not going to move back to Sweden for many years, or perhaps ever. Therefore, I will live in Crete for the rest of the year. In the future, I will probably move to southern Italy where my partner lives. I met him for the first time in April this year, but that was after we had already been in touch over the phone for about a year.
In any case, for the curious readers, you are welcome to follow along on my journey of discoveries and thoughts about life in southern Europe. Moreover, my boyfriend was born in El Salvador. Therefore, Central America is definitely a destination I am going to visit and explore in the future. But for now, you can follow along and enjoy my life as it unfolds here in Crete. 🙂
